DataVault

DataVault privacy policy

By JARAMAH INC. Last updated November 4, 2026.

The short version

  • Your files are encrypted on your device before they're uploaded. We can't open them.
  • Our server stores your email address, your encrypted files and the space they use. It can't see file names, contents, notes or folder names.
  • Only your password or your recovery key can unlock your vault. If you lose both, we can't recover your files.
  • No ads, no tracking across apps, and we never sell your information.

Your account

You sign up with an email address and a password. Your password never leaves your device; a key made from it proves who you are. Sessions last 30 days.

What the server stores

Your email address, when your account was made, your storage quota, and your encrypted files with their encrypted names, notes and folder details. Files are stored on our own server (Hostinger) in our own storage bucket.

Photos

If you back up photos, DataVault reads the photos you allow and encrypts them before upload.

Deleting your data

Delete files or folders in the app, or ask us to delete your account and everything stored with it.

Children

DataVault isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
